Social Action Youth is an exciting youth-led project coordinated by Women’s Aid Federation Northern Ireland.

Our vision is to drive forward change for and with young people affected by domestic abuse and to raise awareness of healthy and unhealthy relationships. We’re a diverse group of young people engaged in Women’s Aid services who have come together to share our voices and make a difference. We are experts by experience and want to play our part in preventing abuse and making a lasting change.

We meet regularly to discuss, plan and get involved in interesting and creative social action projects that help address the issue of abuse in the home and in relationships. Although we are working on serious issues, we still manage to have a lot of fun.  We promote children and young people’s rights in all areas of our work, with a clear focus on meaningful participation, fun and creativity.
